Lady Fern is an easy to maintain perennial fern. Unlike other ferns, Lady fern can withstand some sun exposure and dry soil giving it more flexibility in where it is grown. It is a tame fern, growing slowly and spreading gradually. Over time, if unkept, Lady fern clusters can expand up to seven feet in diameter. It is a host plant for numerous moths, such as the brown angle shade, conifer swift, and the Florida fern Moth.
