Calico Beardtongue has a attractive rounded habit with a deeper lavender pink bloom than Hairy Beardtongue. It prefers rich, loamy well drained soil. Somewhat drought tolerant, this perennial does well in full sun with adequate moisture. It is happiest in a woodland garden with dappled sun and consistently moist organically rich soil.
