Description

Phonetic: TRIL-ee-um gran-dih-FLOR-um

White Trillium is a native perennial that thrives in rich, moist soils. Preferring partial to full shade, it flourishes in locations with speckled sunlight, such as forest floors. In early spring, White Trillium produces large, three-petaled white flowers that gradually turn pink as they mature. These blooms provide an important source of nectar for early-season pollinators, especially bees. While its flowers are not heavily fragrant, their abundant nectar offers crucial resources for pollinators awakening from winter dormancy.
