Phonetic: pik-NAN-thee-mum tor-ee-eye

Torrey's Mountain Mint naturally occurs in mesic, rocky woodlands. Previously believed to exist from as far South as Georgia and over to Illinois (with New Hampshire as the extent of it's northern range) this species is now in decline or extirpated through much of it's range and is considered imperiled, extremely rare, or endangered in some states. Mountain Mints are a bee and butterfly magnet!
