Joe Pye Weed is a tall perennial that thrives in moist soils, often found in meadows, wetlands, and along streambanks. It prefers full sun to partial shade, flourishing in areas where it can receive at least six hours of direct sunlight. Joe Pye Weed blooms in mid to late summer, producing large clusters of small, pink flowers that are highly attractive to pollinators. The abundant nectar and pollen from Joe Pye Weed provide important late-season resources for these insects, making it an important food source when other flowers are fading
