Evening Primrose, a.k.a. Sundrops, is a summer blooming perennial which produces cheerful yellow flowers for several months at a time. This plant forms mats and can make a good groundcover but also may spread aggressively if not managed. It is, however, worth the effort as it can't be beat for wildlife value as it is a host plant for specialized bees, attracts butterflies, hummingbirds, and the seeds are excellent food for songbirds.
