The bright lavender flowers of Wild Geranium are welcome sight in spring, and this woodland wildflower retains its attractive foliage all season long. Long-lived, the plants expand to form a nice clump that also work well as a groundcover. As woodland native, Geranium maculatum does prefer shade, but it will grow in the sun in a rich soil that is consistently damp.
