Wild Senna is a member of the pea family with striking yellow flowers which develop into dark brown seedpods in the fall. These seed pods add a winter interest to the garden and are also a food source for birds. Wild Senna thrives in full sun and moist, loamy soil. It will tolerate sandy, rocky soils as well as occasional flooding. It can be a prolific self seeder and is a long bloomer, about 4 weeks of blooming.
